Frequently Asked Questions
1. How can I treat the spot myself?
-
Dry spot (mud, toner, etc.) just vacuum up thoroughly. Do not get wet. The spot may spread or may go into the padding.
-
Water soluble (food, beverage, urine, vomit, etc.) absorb up as much as possible. Leave a moist towel on spot until a professional arrives.
2. So, how can I treat a spot myself?
- Due to the different type of carpet and spots, we cannot advise a general way to treat a spot.
3. What’s the best maintenance for my carpet?
- Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum. Vacuum traffic lanes everyday. Change disposable bag or empty canister often.
4. How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
- Most carpet manufacturers/mills recommend cleaning every 12-18 months. Heavier traffic flow may require more frequent cleaning.
5. Should I have my carpet protected?
-
Most carpets come from the mill already protected. Overtime, a protector is also known to walk off, wear off and clean off. Having a protector will make it easier to clean the next time. Spots will not be able to penetrate the core of the carpet fiber and become a permanent stain. Protects against dry soil which is abrasive and cuts into the carpet fiber and dulls out the carpet.
6. What are your rates for carpet cleaning?
- We charge by the square foot. We only charge for what we are cleaning, not by the room.
